The Course Attendee registration is intended for participants who wish to enroll in one of the practical hands-on courses offered during the II Genomic Week.
In addition to full access to the general scientific program (lectures and panels), this category includes:
Enrollment in one selected practical course
Structured hands-on training in genomic and bioinformatic methodologies
Direct interaction with instructors and specialists
Guided exercises and applied data analysis

The courses are intended for:
Graduate students (MSc and PhD)
Postdoctoral researchers and PhD holders
Professionals in Biological and Biomedical Sciences
Applicants should demonstrate a clear interest in the specific thematic area of the selected course.

Available Practical Courses
Course 1 – Practical Nanopore Metagenomics (16S: Environmental and Soil Samples)
A hands-on introduction to 16S rRNA gene sequencing using Nanopore technology, covering experimental design, library preparation principles, sequencing workflows, quality control, taxonomic assignment, and ecological interpretation of microbial communities.
Course 2 – Practical Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) for Rare Disease Diagnosis
A practical course focused on the analytical pipeline of exome sequencing, including read alignment, variant calling, annotation, filtering strategies, pathogenicity assessment, and integration of genomic findings with clinical data.
Application Requirements for Course Registration
Applicants must upload the following documents during registration:
Letter of Motivation, specifically addressing the selected course and explaining the applicant’s interest and expected impact on their research or training.
Letter of Recommendation from the Supervisor, describing how participation in the course will benefit the applicant and contribute to the development of their research group.
